TGen values the opportunity to share its research with the community through laboratory tours. Tour guests may see first-hand the next generation sequencing technology and biomedical research laboratories where TGen scientists unlock the mysteries of cancer, neurological disease and diabetes. TGen welcomes public, senior, school and community groups for tours of up to 10-30 guests, age 10 and over.
Tour requests should be submitted at least three to four weeks in advance. Every effort will be made to fulfill each tour request; however we are only able to confirm tours as time and resources permit. If we are not able to accommodate your tour request, we are pleased to provide information about the Institute and mail materials to interested parties. Requestors must submit the full names of all attendees at least three business days prior to a confirmed tour.
Tours typically begin with a TGen overview and presentation on translational medicine followed by a guided facility tour. Tours last about one hour and are scheduled Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Guests should arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in with photo identification at the security desk in the first floor lobby of TGen headquarters. Guests should wear closed-toe shoes.
Use the form below to submit a tour request. A TGen representative will contact you within seven business days of your submission to review your request and tour availability. Tours must be approved and confirmed by a TGen representative. For questions, contact Julie Euber in the Education and Outreach office at email@example.com .
Individuals interested in touring TGen who are not affiliated with a group can fill out the form below to join a public tour. Those interested in public tours will be notified when tour dates are available.
Guests may use the free visitor parking lot on the east side of 5th street, just south of TGen. If the lot is full, pay parking is available in the Arizona Center parking garage on the west side of 5th street, north of TGen. Parking is not validated. To simplify parking, we recommend carpooling whenever possible.
